The Lemonade Stand

Two weeks ago I caught Gavin out on the sidewalk...he had climbed up on the counter, made something he was calling "lemonade" and was determined to have a lemonade stand! I don't know where he even learned about a lemonade stand or how to make lemonade! I told him lemonade stands take planning and a lot of work and we would have to prepare for quite some time to have a lemonade stand. Well, he would not let it go and so after much planning and preparation--yesterday he manned his first stand and to my surprise MADE A KILLING!!

(Thanks to both sets of grandparents...how was that $5 glass of watery lemonade?)

An evening at the deathtrap--I mean CARNIVAL!!

Why not live on the edge once a year? Watching my kids on those small town, never know what may happen, rides is a once a year experience! Just enough time goes by in between you forget how scared you were the year before! We had to remind them on 3 different rides to BUCKLE OUR KIDS IN!! Crazy...but they had a blast!

This year we went all out and bought the kids the unlimited ride pass. Jenna wouldn't get off the train and the older kids LOVED this really crazy ride that I thought they were going to fly off of. We ate yummy scones and lemonade and had a ball!

Myers Family Reunion

We had a great weekend at the Myers family reunion in southern Utah! There was so much to do--horses, 4 wheelers, food, cousins--it was a lot of fun. My favorite part was the really funny "Ugly cowboy contest" This was my first Myers family reunion, so I wasn't really prepared for the intense competition! Soooo funny! I did win 2nd place and a $50 Bill--not too bad for my first year!

Gavin had been preparing his costume for weeks and was so upset when he didn't win. I caught him confronting uncle Ron about it later in the evening! Thank you uncle Ron for the consolation prize--a $5 bill that has not left Gavins hand ever since!
This is the back side of Brents costume!

Kesley didn't really leave the sandbox or her "bedt fwend fowevew" her little cousin, Belle. (I think I mentioned we have her in speech therapy...) Both were "too cool" to actually look at me and smile.

Jenna couldn't go anywhere without her binky (of course) or a sucker (Thank you Grandma Gwen for the open bag of treats and toys) and a neck full of jewels--she even had Jake in on the action!

WE HAVE ENTERED THE BLOGGING WORLD!!!

Thank you Aunt Amber for showing me how to blog! Ok, the font just changed and I don't know what I did...so this post may end up pretty interesting!

So how about a little update: Brent just got a job at BYU as a carpenter--Yea! We have insurance, dental, 401K, life insurance--I can't stop jumping up and down! Life will finally be predictable and he actually has been home most evenings--double Yea!
I have just started to run again--It's been 7 years since I had an excersize routine and my body is feeling it ( and showing it!). I ran 3 times last week and hopefully will loose a little (or lot) before summer is over!

Gavin is great. He just graduated from preschool and is very excited for summer. He just learned how to wink and snap. We have tried about a hundred different things to get rid of his booger situation, but nothing has worked yet! This is a cute shot of the wink and a few danglers.

Kesley graduated from her litte music preschool and loves finding things to keep busy. Unlike Gavin, Kesley loves to be the center of attention and will perform at the drop of a hat. This was a morning of play-doh.

Jenna --well there goes the font again...and the pictures are all on top--give me time...

Ok, Jenna is just the life of the family. She has the unfortunate nickname of "beener", but oddly enough she really fits it. Each week she has a stronger opinion and a stronger addiction to her binky and her blanky. If they are not in her mouth or hands she is yelling, "binky, are yooooou?" It's very cute...except at 3:00 a.m.

Well, that's it for the first blog! I'll get the hang of this soon!
